Babri Verdict Politically Motivated: SDPI
Thiruvananthapuram: Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) termed the Allahabad High Court verdict on Babri Masjid title suit as superficial and disappointing. The court, instead of giving judgment on the basis of documents and facts submitted before it, has relied upon mere religious faith and handed out a verdict which is politically motivated, said E Aboobacker, national president, SDPI.
This is illegal and discriminatory verdict. This can be viewed as just the continuation of injustice meted out towards Muslims regarding the Babri Masjid issue till now. Congress party along with BJP can not absolve from the responsibility for this situation.
He also hoped that UP Sunni Central Waqf Board and All India Muslim Personal Law Board would challenge the verdict in Supreme Court.
E Aboobacker also appealed the people of the country to treat the issue through legal manner.
