Hindutwa-Imperialist Forces behind New Social Unrest: E Aboobacker
Thalassery: It's the part of Hindutwa-imperialist agenda to create social unrest which has been witnessed in the states like Kerala, alleged E Aboobacker, national president, Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI). He was inaugurating the public conference at Thalassery yesterday organised as part of the 'Popular March' by SDPI with the slogan- 'democracy should not be denied to the marginalised'.The Israel has become a strong presence in our country. It could infiltrate in our security forces and exert influence in other state machineries, he added.
He also said that the recent stalemate in the parliament session in the name of discussion on inflation was not due to the concern for the poor, instead it was part of a ploy to block the parliament form discussing Gujarat minister Amith Sha's arrest in fake encounter case. For this the parties from right and left joined their hands with BJP, he added.
He reiterated party's stand on Muvattupuzha incident. The assault on the college professor is condemnable. The law should take its course. But the government and the media has taken a discriminatory position following this incident, he alleged.
He also said that various political parties had approached their leaders for the support during the elections. Our decency prevents us from revealing its details. At the same time we will not shy away from disclosing the details when it becomes inevitable.
Nobody can intimidate the party with ban threat. It has got enough popular bases to tackle it, he warned.
In a lighter vein he said that it was those who were not aware of the existence of India beyond Malabar, who were trying to belittle SDPI and its strength. He also warned that the ulterior motives of vested interests could not be fulfilled so long as even a single activist of the party exists on the earth.
Kannur district president Pallipram Prabhakaran, general secretary Noushad Punnakkal also spoke. Hundreds of people had gathered near Thalassery bus stand to give ears to the words of their leaders. Earlier hundreds of people participated in Popular March which has completed its journey in the district yesterday.
