Kozhikkode: Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) demanded to put off Haj flights from Kerala so as to facilitate pilgrims to cast their votes in coming local body election. In Kerala election has been scheduled on 23 and 25 of October, where as the flight schedule from Karippur air port is planned to begin from 21st October, said Adv. K P Muhammed Shareef, state president SDPI.

Had the Haj flights been rescheduled as to commence on 26th of October, thousands of voters could have participated in election process in Kerala.

SDPI has already sent letters to concerned ministers at state and center in this regard.
