  • Ma'dani: SDPI Signature Campaign Begins

    Kozhikkode: Signature campaign by Social Democratic Party of India began today in different parts of Kerala demanding the early release of Abdunnasir Ma'dani, chairman of Peoples' Democratic Party of India. SDPI had planned to amass one million signatures from Kerala in this regard and to submit it to Karnataka chief minister after the Vidhan Soudha march on October 10

    Human rights activist A Vasu inaugurated the signature campaign in Kozhikkode. He alleged that Ma'dani was the victim of nefarious conspiracy. He also said that the hands of Sanghparivar were evident behind this conspiracy to falsely implicate Ma'dani in Bangalore serial blast case on the basis of a statement given by a co-accused. SDPI state president Adv. K P Muhammed Shareef presided over the function.
    N P Chekutty, executive editor Thejas daily, P Abdul Hameed, state general secretary, Popular Front, N K Abdul Azeez, leader of Indian National League (Secular), SDPI state general secretaries M K Manoj Kumar and P Abdul Majeed Faizee also spoke on the occasion. Similar campaigns were held in various parts of the state also.
