  • Kerala: Popular Front Asks to Work for SDPI candidates

Kozhikkode: Popular Front asked its cadres to work for the victory of Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) candidates in coming local body elections in Kerala.
Corruption, nepotism and favoritism have become rampant now in local body institutions. And SDPI decided to contest the elections to uphold the real power of the people in these institutions.
The election slogan of the party- No to corruption, No to discrimination, We want popular panchayath- has already passed a message of hope to the people and has become a warning to anti-people politicians, opined the meeting of state and district level office bearers of Popular Front.
The unholy alliances among the parties are widespread in this election. Parties who are overtly opposed each other are having covert poll alliances. CPM has joined hands with BJP-RSS combine. Though RSS and BJP leaders come with anti CPM statements publicly, they have issued secret circulars supporting them. Popular Front also demanded the people to vote against the anti minority stand of CPM.
As before there are also Congress-League-BJP alliances in this election also. And people should be aware of these unholy tie-ups.
And Popular Front also appealed the people of the state to vote for SDPI candidates who are determined to work for the empowerment of minority-dalit and backward communities. State president Nasaruddeen Elamaram presided over the meeting.
