  • Ma’dani: SDPI Signature Compilation Journey Begins

    Thiruvananthapuram: Social Democratic Party of India began its ‘Signature Compilation Journey’ yesterday meant to compile one million signatures to be submitted to Karnataka government demanding the early release of Abdunnasir Ma’dani from unjust judicial custody there.
    During the three day journey the signatures already collected from the people across the state by SDPI unit workers during last one month will be handed over to the state leaders of the party.
    The journey was inaugurated from the premise of Kerala secretariat at 10 am yesterday. The signatures collected from the Thiruvananthapuram district was handed over to M K Manoj Kumar, state general secretary by A Ibrahim Kutty, district president.
    Peoples’ Democratic Party chairman Abdunnasir Ma’dani was arrested on August 17 by Karnataka Police implicating him in Bangalore serial blast case.
    One million signatures will be submitted to the Karnataka government later this month.
    The signatures will be compiled also by state leaders P Abdul Majeed Faizee, Muvattupuzha Ashraf Moulavi, A A Shafi, Adv. V S Saleem during the journey.
