  • Allot More Plus Two Seats in Malabar: SDPI

    Thiruvananthapuram: Social Democratic Party of India demanded the state government to facilitate higher studies of all students from Malabar region who have passed the SSLC examination this year. For this authorities should increase the number of seats in higher secondary schools, vocational higher secondary schools and polytechnics by 20 percentages.
    The government’s decision to include the cast in the senses is laudable, but at the same time, the Indians staying abroad should also be included in it, opined the state committee. The central government should bring needed amendments in the concerned acts to facilitate voting power for them, it added.
    The state committee also demanded to withdraw user’s fee introduced at Thiruvananthapuram air port.
    State president Adv. K P Muhammed Shareef, Vice president P K Gopinathan, General secretary,  M K Mnoj Kumar, P Abdul Majeed Faizee, Treasurer A A Shafi, Secretary Muvattupuzha Ashraf Moulavi spoke in the meeting.
