SDPI urges Centre to overhaul investigating agencies, order fresh probes in all bomb blasts cases
The Social Democratic Party of India, (SDPI), has made a fervent appeal to the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram to overhaul the investigating agencies at its command and order fresh probes in all bomb blasts cases all over the country. This should be done in the light of exposure of Hindu extremists' involvement in the Ajmer Dargah blasts
E Aboobakkar SDPI President, in a Press release took strong exception to the recent serious developments in the investigations into the cases of the bomb blasts in Ajmer Sharif and the linkages with the Hyderabad's Makkah Masjid bomb blasts both of which had taken place in 2007.
Aboobakkar charged that in the current investigations these highly condemnable anti-national acts of terror and bomb blasts in both places of worship were committed by groups acting in the name of Hindutva. The Ajmer Dargah blast case has taken a new twist after the recent arrest of some persons belonging to some Hindu extremist organizations. Now belatedly the Rajasthan ATS is giving heed to the information obtained from the Malegaon blast accused. The scenario would have been quite different had the Rajasthan ATS acted promptly on clear indications from the Malegaon blast accused, he stated.
He demanded criminal action against erring probe officers for misguiding the investigation despite clear indications of involvement of Hindutva terror. He also demanded a fresh probe into the Makkah Masjid blasts in the light of new evidence of links with the Ajmer Dargah blasts.
Aboobakkar said the Central Government should take heed of these developments and act strongly enough to send a clear message that violence in any form to divide society on communal lines will not be tolerated. The Central Government should also be proactive to clear the general perception that every blast is the handiwork of Muslims and their youth are behind all such violence even before investigations in such cases have properly started. The truth is now slowly and steadily unveiling and the faces of investigating agencies are getting self-slapped by their acts of omission and commission, he said.
