Jana Kerala Yathra in Capital City; Will Conclude Today
Thiruvananthapuram: Jana Kerala Yathra organized by Social Democratic Party of India got rousing reception in the capital city of Kerala yesterday. Hundreds of people gathered at Pangode to receive the Yathra. The story of other reception points in the district like Kilimanoor, Kallambalam, Attingal, Kaniyapuram, Pothankode, Vembayam, Nedumangad, Tholikkode, Kattakata was not different. People includig women and children waited for long to accord warm welcome to the Yathra and its leaders.
Most of these people who gathered here were form the downtrodden sections of the society. They wished the Yathra and the organizers all the best in their endeavor to bring justice for the deprived sections of the society.
The Jana Kerala Yathra which began from Hosangadi, Kasarkode on 2nd of this month has passed through all 14 districts within its journey of 23 days. The fact that the historic Yathra was well received by the people of Kerala was evident form the enthusiasm shown by them to receive the Yathra and to accompany it. They could find their political future in this budding organization. The slogan it raised during the Yathra and the discipline it maintained throughout the journey and the organizing skills to conduct this Yathra in a fool-proof manner were genuine reasons for them to celebrate.
The Yathra leaders including its captain K Manoj Kumar, vice captain Muvattupuzha Ashraf Moulavi have etched out a special place in the hearts of the Kerala society.
The jana Kerala Yathra will conclude in Thiruvanathapuram with a huge rally and grand public program.
National president of SDPI, E Abubacker will inaugurate the public meeting. Former Pondichery MLA M Elangovan will be the chief guest.
