Jana Kerala Yathra in Pathanamthitta amid people’s enthusiasm

Pathanamthitta: SDPI’s Jana Kerala Yathra entered Pathanamthitta on its 19th day today amid warm welcome from the people. Hundreds of people waited at Thiruvalla to receive the Yathra led by M K Manoj Kumar and Muvattupuzha Ashraf Moulavi. More than 200 bikes and several four wheelers followed tha Yathra to KSRTC junction at Thiruvalla, which is the first reception point in the district.
It got spectacular receptions at Payippatu, Mallappalli, Vaypur, Kottangal, Chungappara, Alapra, Ranni, Konni, Pathanamthitta and Pandalam.
Yathra captain Manoj Kumar visited Chengara land movement leader Laha Gopalan and pledged solidarity in his efforts to avail lands for landless tribal people here who are in war path with this demand.
The public meeting held at Adoor was inaugurated by Rafeejuddeen Shah, state secretary of Manipur SDPI.
Jana Kerala Yathra’ organised by Social Democratic Party of India was flagged off at a largely-attended public function atHosangady Kasarkode on 2nd of this month, creating a new wave of enthusiasm and confidence among backward sections of the society.
