Manglore: Social Democratic Party of India conducted a Felicitation Program for its candidates who won the BBMP election and Gram Panchayath elections, recently held in state, in Town Hall, Manglore on Thursday, June 3rd.

Prof.Naznin Begam, who won the BBMP election and Sixty eight candidates, who won the Gram Panchayath Elections were felicitated in this program. In the beginning of the program assembly observed a silence as condolence for the Manglore air crash victims.
Abdul Hamid Salmara, President of BSP Manglore Loksabha Committee and Ashfaq Ahmad, a leader of JDS in Karkala joined the SDPI in this program.

Speaking to gathering SDPI State President Majeed Kodlipete said that Social Democratic Party of India has indicated its good future by winning 68 seats in Gram Panchayath elections, in which 365 candidates were backed by the party. The party, formed in June 2009, has managed get huge support from the people in a little time.

He thanked the party workers, the office bearers and the party candidates for their great effort to take the party in to success.
“Gram Panchayath is a foundation for the state and the most part of our country represents rural area. Development of these rural areas means the development of the country” he added.

“In our country 75% of people are living in rural areas. 2/3 of the population is living below poverty line. The condition of the 30 % people in rural area is worst. 80% of the scheduled class and tribes, living in rural areas, are very poor and they are struggling to gain their basic needs”; he added.
“Governments, ruling India for past 62 years, have been failed to edify these people from this conditions and they have lost the trust of the poeple” he said.
“Formers have been committing suicides because of loans and lack of fertilizers, but government is not heeding towards them. Governments are making developments of Multi National companies but not of poor” he criticized.

Speaking to audience K.M.Sharif, member of National Working Committee said “at present situation politics is understood as hooliganism, corruption, and filth. Thus worthy people stayed away from this. It caused criminals, corrupters, who dispose of wealth of the Nation and upper class people to get strong hold in the power. Realizing the fact we formed Social Democratic Party of India”.

SDPI National Secretary V.R.Imtiyaz, National Exicutive Members Dr.Mehbub Sharif, A.M.M.Shafi, Moulana Usman begh, State General Secretary Abdul Hannan, State Vice President Prof.Naznin Begam, who won the BBMP election recently held in Banglore, State Committee members Thippe Swamy, Mallappa and Hema Latha were present at the dais.

State level leaders, District presidents, Vice Presidents and the party workers were present at the program.
Anwar Sadath, welcomed the guests while Imthiyaz coordinated the program.
