Kozhikkode: Social Democratic Party of India will observe a state-wide 12 hour hartal today to protest the central government decision to hike price of petroleum products. The hartal will be between six in the morning to six in the evening.
By the decision to remove state control on the petrol and leave it to the market pricing mechanism, the government has washed its hands from the responsibility towards common people. It's a part of government strategy to escape from the burden of subsidy from their part, alleged state secretariat of the party.
SDPI asked the people to come forward to protest the price hike.
